This widespread practice is based upon the simple premise that a person should get credit for what they already know.

Learning doesn't take place just in a cubicle or only from courses. One can acquire great spiritual insights without ever setting foot on a college campus. In fact, most of what you know came to you outside a formal classroom setting. The whole world is your university, and everything you see, hear, or do can be an educational experience.

Jesus showed that all life is a seminary and the Holy Spirit is our Instructor. The best learned lessons are intertwined in our daily walk with the Lord. Granting credit for life work is founded upon the old proverb, “Experience is the best teacher". You can learn more about preaching by preaching, than from sitting around with an outdated text on homiletics. The idea of on-the-job-training used to be called apprenticeship.

Therefore, our approach to higher education is that if you have acquired Biblical knowledge and ministerial skills, you're entitled to receive credit for it. It’s not necessary to retrace foundational doctrinal teaching, which you already know. If you qualify for advanced status, you can skip one, two, or even three levels of our courses.

When you receive a degree for your past study and life work, it is not considered an HONORARY degree, but an EARNED degree!

INSTRUCTIONS

Provide the Dao Temple Bible Institute with a comprehensive portfolio containing all your institutional Christian education and extra institutional learning experience. It should be neat, preferably typed, and contained two parts:

PART I

A record of all your previous formal study from other schools. We gladly accept transfer students, and transferable credits from other reputable colleges and universities to be applied towards a higher degree from The Dao Temple Bible Institute.

PART II

A record of your informal learning through significant life/work experience. Then The Dao Temple Bible Institute will consolidate Part I and Part II, and translate it into equivalent academic credits, advancing you to the corresponding educational degree.

PART I

List all post secondary schools (beyond high school) that you have attended, or taken courses from, with subject titles, credits earned, and dates, even if you only audited them.

However, do not list secular courses or employment. Document your study as much as you can, telling where, what, and when. Just send us a photocopy of all your certificates, diplomas, and degrees. Also, send us all special awards you may have received. Never send originals, just copies.

PART II

Prepare a Spiritual resume of all your major achievements and important accomplishments for Christ. If you have been in the ministry for some years, you may have a substantial list of credit-worthy endeavors that you have performed for the Lord that may even surprise yourself. Here's a checklist:

If in doubt about something, list it anyway, but substantiate each item as much as possible. And finally, conclude your portfolio with a brief statement about your short and long-range career goals for God. Remember, never mail originals. Send only copies.

Churches or storefront missions founded.
Knowledge gained through pastoral ministry or evangelistic field, past or present.
Conferences and/or conventions sponsored.
Administering a Church department or outreach.
Teaching or participating in a workshop or weekend seminar.
Conducting revivals.
Working closely with/under some great man or woman of God.
Letters of recommendation or official commendation.
Christmas or Easter plays, or other Biblical dramas performed.
Art---painting a water baptismal mural.
Musical or other talents you have employed for the Lord.
Street witnessing, preaching, marches, tent work.
Competency in various Church projects and activities such as V.B.S.
Organizing fund raising drives.
Writing a Christian column for a local newspaper.
Preparing news releases, P.S.A., and ads.
Communication skills developed in teaching, preaching, or counseling.
Operating a prayer hotline.
Teen/children's church work/leadership.
Being a counselor or recreation director at a youth camp.
Independent study and original research.
Christian classic books read.
Audio recordings or video programs for radio or T. V.
Samples of your writings, tracts, brochures, newsletters, booklets, books.
Mass distribution of Gospel literature.
Home or foreign missionary trips, especially Holy Land Tours---just give a brief report of what you saw and did.

EVALUATION

From this information, we will be able to determine your allowable credits towards a degree. Of course, everyone's past educational and ministerial history is different, and must be individually accessed to see what level of advanced standing you qualify for, but we will be fair and as generous as possible.

If your case warrants it, it will be just like you took our courses, and we can immediately confer an Associate or Bachelor degree upon you. Please indicate what study program you're interested in, and what your degree goals are, and in what field.

If you are pursuing a Master's and/or a Doctorial degree, The Dao Temple Bible Institute may recommend that you take our Ministerial Training Courses, and may or may not require a Thesis or Dissertation, if your credits are sufficient without it.

Most schools limit the amount of credits they allow from other institutions and from life/work experience. But if you already have a Bachelor's degree and have accumulated enough credits, The Dao Temple Bible Institute may be able to award you even a Master's degree. But it's extremely rare for anyone to receive an earned Doctor's degree based on life/work experience alone.

FEE

Many schools charge around $100 (non-refundable) just to evaluate your academic qualifications, but The Dao Temple Bible Institute will evaluate your portfolio for the modest fee of only $20, and we will promptly notify you of your level of advance standing. You would then be eligible to immediately receive your degree, without taking courses.

Our Ministry

There are many different titles for the jobs within the kingdom: Shephard, Vineyard Attendant, Prophet, Husbandman, Crier, Reaper, Sower, Light Worker, Peace Maker, Herald, Servant (Angel) and many others. We give them titles of Pastor, Minister, Reverend, Father, Rabbi, each one has a special job within the kingdom - each with the respect of the other, each son's and daughters of Gods.

Many voices, one message, some days I will feel like listening to an inspired sermon, other days to experience the peace of heaven.

To hear a firey sermon or experience the gentle praise of a butterfly being born, they are all one under God. Jesus said "If you have done it unto the least of them, you have done it unto me".

If you want to experience life, just don't look for it in one place, look for it in all places.

Amiel: The French Philosopher said about religion: "Religion is not a method, it is a life: a higher and supernatural life, mystical in its roots and practical in its fruit, a communion with God, a calm and deep enthusiasm, a love which radiates, a force which acts, a happiness which overflows".

Children's Charities

Each day we celebrate the birth of a child. We plan for this childs life, we see the Child's looks in the face of the father or mother, we wonder will they grow up to be good and worthy of the title of "A Child of God". Genesis 4:9, "Am I my brother's keeper?" We are indeed are our brother's keeper. Like a Father who cares for His Children, we are "One People under God".

Consider this when you look at your life, have you a personal relationship with God? Does that relationship have many people in who you rely or they rely on you, extended family, friends, people who rely on your skills? Or simply just yourself, you need to feed and care for yourself.

Our Ministry will help you find God in your heart, your mind and soul. This can be achieved by giving " And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God". When you act from your own Christ like nature, even He must smile with joy.
